About Me
I am a California native, born in Redwood City, raised in Palo Alto, and I currently live in Watsonville with my husband Bob, along with our four cats (a mom and her three kittens - rescues) and a rescued GSD mix puppy Smokey. Being a California native, I have a lifetime of experience in the Bay Area.
After numerous years spent working with attorneys in the corporate sector and having once considered actually becoming an attorney myself (and taking a year of law school), I decided, after going through the buying/selling process personally, I would be better able to use my legal knowledge in the business of real estate. I realize that my legal background is a valuable asset in this business. I can provide my clients with the most helpful and painless process for buying and selling their homes. From my many years in the legal world, I am able to interpret contracts and negotiate easily. I also have an extensive list of exceptional attorneys on whom I can rely.
I have two wonderful children: Michael, a graduate from UC Berkeley, and Melissa, who graduated with a degree in geology from UC Santa Cruz, and is currently residing in Portland, Oregon with her husband Tim. I also have three incredible stepkids thanks to Bob and his late wife Mary Lou --- Theresa who is living in Davis and teaching at UC Davis; Liz, who lives in Los Angeles and has created her own line of books and greeting cards; and Tim, a graduate of University of Arizona, now working and living in Phoenix.
My hobbies include: animals, painting and drawing, yoga with Janice Wakimoto, gardening (primarily with California natives), travel, and photography.
Professional affiliations: Notary Public, Certified Eco Broker, NAR's Green Designation, Real Estate Specialist Designation – Divorce, Certified Specialist-Mexico Real Estate, Accredited Staging Professional, National Association of Realtors, Silicon Valley Association of Realtors, California Association of Realtors. I formerly served for several years as President of the Board of Directors of Laurelwood Cabana Club in Santa Clara, California. I am a former member and Juvenile Justice Chairperson for the Los Altos/Mountain View League of Women Voters and a weekly volunteer at the Cupertino Library ESL Conversation Club.
I am a proud and continuous supporter of Lucile Packard Children's Hospital. A portion of every sale I make goes to support this worthy cause.
